Limerick LEGO Exhibition Round-up

Limerick Exhibition (October) We had a fantastic turnout for the LimBrickCity exhibition over the weekend with members bringing along lots of brick built magic to join in the fun. Among the items on display were a literal microfig-scale Ireland, an 18th century tall-ship, a Pub and Bazaar, a combined Ninjago City and Docks, a shopping mall (where one can buy more bricks) and a Hogwarts Express (to get home). The Irish LEGO User Group would like to thank our friends at LimBrickCity for helping host the great day. Discover bigger (and better!) pictures of these great builds on the forum. Lug.ie Team  ...

Culture Night Exhibition Round-up

Culture Night Exhibition Round-up We’d like to thank all those who came along to our Culture Night LEGO exhibition at the Civic Centre in Blanchardstown, Dublin and all our members for bringing along and showing their collections and creations. We were particularly happy to see members Nicky and Merlin display their fantastic wares for the first time. The exhibit was very well attended and there was a lot of enthusiasm for everything that was on display. Nicky's motorized bulldozerr and Royalridge's customised LED lit up Millennium Falcon were not surprisingly among the crowd favourites. But can you spot BB-8 keeping an eye on things? Here's looking forward to the next show! Lug.ie Team ...

Lug.ie in the News

Lug.ie in the News Our recent exhibit at the Civic Centre in Blanchardstown made it into a number of newspapers and online media sites including the July - August edition of Dublin Gazette (page 2) and online on Dublinlive and so we thought we'd share it here. We think the journalistic freedom the authors took might have hyped it up (somewhat) but all publicity's good publicity right? :D                       If you didn't catch them, here's the transcripts:   Dublin Gazette: LEGO to the library to see great models A LEGO exhibition will be on display at Blanchardstown Library this Saturday, July 28. The exhibit will see some of Ireland's best adult LEGO builders display dozens of creations to the public. The creations - which range from an abandoned bridge to a model-size version of Dublin's Custom House - will be on view during library opening hours. Admission to the exhibition is free and it is open to the general public. All are welcome.   Dublinlive.ie: Blanchardstown Library is hosting the most incredible LEGO...
