LEGO have announced 40 new sets (https://shop.lego.com/en-IE/New-Sets) are now available to VIP members online. Sets include the released Taj Mahal.

Lots of new sets to relieve any money that's left ,8wide speedchampions is killing the 6wide fan and nailing the 4wide coffin , I appreciate how better\realistic they look but price is for me not justifiable, hope a price war solved this problem C'mon smyths vs argos (whoever looses We win)
-
Harry Potter fans rejoice at new sets ,despair at more sets to acquire, but they look great. Wider seems to be where the vehicles are in LEGO lately , today I saw an electric car and seems there is a place for 4-wide still in legoland. I guess online is the only place to get any set now.

76176 marvel -shang chi escape, 30euro- stylish car , 2 motorbikes ,4 minifigs and 2 spring shooters- 1 disk, 1 projectile. As a new release it's mildly high but it's on my radar when reduced
-
60293 stuntz 30 euro -it's new- but has new road plate sections ,a spider and the bike with 2 minifigs, the big Rig is what I'm really after but I'd budget for this if it could go under 25

Anyone in the hotelier market? The next modular is a 3 bedroom hotel ,has a triangular shape but with some filling out the already full rooms could be improved on, it's way off my range but as a budding airline boss I'd love to enhance my emerging airline operation with whole package holidays, will I splash on a, IMO, a huge set ,realistically NO
-
Not that I've ever bought a modular or ever will but it's a nice looking set! I've been keen on doing my own kind of pointy corner building like that some time. But they've kind of ruined that aspect of it by making it only usable on a 90 degree corner - the side with the little art gallery is ugly and looks like it's made to butt up against another modular. Rules out the possibility of a diagonal side street running behind it, kind of defeating the purpose of the building's angular-ness and taking away from its realism. You don't see buildings that shape unless the streets around them dictate it.
Interesting to see the colour of the first floor - apparently light nougat, never used outside of minifig heads before.
Brickset already has a review: https://brickset.com/article/66305/review-10297-boutique-hotel (https://brickset.com/article/66305/review-10297-boutique-hotel)

It needs a serious mod on all levels and a 4th floor as there's 4keys for 3 rooms and toilets are like hens teeth (I know lego doesn't need to go ...but) ,it's 200 price is being moaned on already. At 160 I'd forego any other spending to nab it
-
Fourth key probably the master key or one for the front door. I think the bathroom looks great and the palm tree design, I think it uses a crown piece?

A great looking ideas set! Numerous globes have been submitted to Lego ideas in the past but this I'm glad they chose this design (although the geography of the original submission left a bit to be desired, which has thankfully been improved upon). Probably a bit pricey for what it is but if I can find anywhere to put it I'll certainly consider it at sale prices...
-
Looks like crap! A dust nightmare and only shows continent names, is rather an actual globe! And if it fell I'd be going to jail!
-
Got the smallest Stuntz in agros but can't open till next month(one per month), as the bikes alone are 8 each ,15 is a mini-deal, my want is the big Rig but even at 48 i need it to be cheaper, I must get the other bike set -22euro ,might have to let actual kids play with them too as the function looks cool
-
Any car/speed champions/8wide fans ,the 4 being released on 1st March look great ,mildly pricey but average enough. Tons of sticker but looking fab
-
In u.k. Smyths had poly bags for new city and friends ,wonder if here did or does anything
-
They did it in the North
-
Buzz lightyear sets -available 24th April - 3sets so far, zorg looks menacing!
-
Flower botanic sets for may ,they look pretty real so in time for blooming season
-
Buzz lightyear but the prices don't buzz me! 50euro for spaceship
-
Supposedly the director is a classic space fan, and he designed the ship so we'd get some new trans-yellow pieces! https://www.brickfanatics.com/lightyear-director-made-movie-for-new-brick/
-
Don't know if stuntz will make a 2nd round , I'm liking it but as an "Expand your city" it's a demolition derby arena, and to work would require spectator area and all the sets would make it football stadium size ! I've gotten the smaller ones and opened a bike 60310 -chicken suit guy ,and one push gives serious zoom so x3 could see the need for a garage to add to the arena, depending where you run it too could see missing bits as they do fly off on impacts! Don't let this deter you as they've got more rewarding results than the pull back motors in the technic monster trucks
-
A city farm line ,3 sets so far the biggest 50euro is 4+ but had animals and a sheep that has a shearable coat(remove outer like costume minifigs) ,a tractor that'll look more like a ride on lawnmower compared to the recent tractor, a cool enough set albeit 4+
-
Anyone up for a buildable Groot- 400+ pieces 50ish euro and if you don't build it you can have the splinters version , it looked poorish but I didn't zoom into image as it doesn't interest me
-
I've nearly the whole Stuntz line ,only got 2 bikes from the individual boxes, and missing the Big Rig (the one I really wanted), got the monster truck -big box set today ,50euro is a great price and my airport ??? will have a monster truck arena ! This theme has great playability for families as it's colours and characters aren't boyish. And the rev up bikes go miles
-
Browsed the next wave of Stuntz, the super wackiness isn't letting up but it's mostly bikes( great designs and figs) but I'm all stunted with this theme.......unless prices are wacky in my favour!!
-
Happy Birthday to me, a gift of the bucket loader for me!!! It's a poly bag so it's tiny, it was 4.50euro so I was happy with the price but it's CRAP! I didn't apply the stickers , as it's not staying as it is ,I'll give it bigger tyres and steering
-
New sets ready for pre-order in smyths ,new stuntz stuff and Harry Potter ,my budget is the 20 euro carriage but I'll wait to see if it goes to 15
-
Series 23 minifigs ,they look christmassy and I may be in the market for them, also Avatar set -the tree and alpha flying animal with 4 figs( longer legs and funny looking heads) ,a must for any Avatar fan
-
2023 annual ,6euro ,it's an ice cream crook ,selling early to avoid dropping price if they don't sell, a nice sock filler but I'll wait to see if they flop
-
10308 Winter village set is 2 buildings and a tram -1500pieces =100euro ,may forego advent calendars for this, snow capped roofs and out for VIPs 3 October and then 7 Oct for everyone else....if it's still in stock
-
Decided to go to the store today and buy the Office, looks better in person and can't wait to build it. A good crowd over the fist half hour of the shop opening. Disappointed to see no GWP castaway or Halloween polybag, apparently stuck at customs, they wrote it on the receipt that I can collect it sometime next week, but awkward to have to make another trip up, midweek especially.
-
450euro hulkbuster (or walletbuster) 4 November date ,like a Dragon " I'm out". It does look impressive though
-
Eiffel tower out soon ...any takers?? Out of my price range , and Star Wars advent calendars are all but gone from smyths. 35 euro was too steep for me but I do have a city and Harry Potter to console me!
-
Minifiguremadness has 2 boxes of 36 for 234 down from 288
-
Series 24 ,the ones that are out in January
-
I did the math 3.25 nothing extra special but as a pool of buyers to get a complete set maybe it'd work
-
229 offer on the brickset website. I'll assume it's only today
-
Technic and City set on view on brickset, some nice and some weird but a preview is always welcome ! I like the electric car and the monster jam sets. I'll still be on LBB (lego buying ban)
-
New sets in smyths ,and the friends ones are really worth a look. I'll have to wait for the bin truck to go under 30
-
NASCAR Chevrolet out 1st March 50 euro, dear but looks clean without the usual technic holes
-
10791 Spiderman 50euro, it's a 4+ set but the bus thing looks wacky and 5 figs, maybe 45 or lower for a deal
-
Bin truck , JCB and penguin juice van =60euro ,reduced prices to acceptable, with agros on the way out I didn't want to chance not getting bin truck and digger! I'll try replicate the bin truck from my piles
-
40649 upscaled minifig 6wide legs, good for stomping 4wide items!
-
The minifig operating the controls inside his head is great! Not mad about the shaping of the hat though, I'd have thought they could do a better representation of a minifig hat, which seems to be what they're going for - why does the brim extend around the back? Not that it would be too hard to modify I imagine.
Also given that the rest of the flat surfaces are tiled, seems a bit lazy that they didn't tile the tops of his feet!
Could see some fun big utensils being made for him to hold.
-
Brickset has a bear complete showing of all new sets for summer, a botanical garden in friends line and a hogwash train and station are my liked first view. Technic John Deere is desirable but over budget
-
Smyths showings sets ,available 1st June, there's a city centre but 210euro although 2010 pieces. Pre-order price promise seems a ripoff as it should come under 200. I'd imagine there'll be a lot of 1x1s for detailing .14 figs too though
-
Star Wars has fallen into the hideous mech (meh!) realm, Darth ,Boba and a snowtrooper, hope that it gets parked there. The miniaturization of ships was tolerable and the planet's were great ,seems reverse is the gear of choice
-
Jesus they're awful!

The ships could have been made a little bigger
-
Smyths has advent calendars 38euro for Marvel , star wars and H.P. 27euro for city. (and friends), a new aeroplane (100euro ) ,12 seats nice engines but rear looks cheaped out. There's a friends igloo ,looks real good but high price
-
40658 starwars Christmas set -30euro - available 1st october. Might be alternative to 38 euro advent calendar. 3 figs ,bb-8 and brick built porg.282 pieces
-
March 1st speed champs F1 ,9wide but the proportions are right, 27euro not so much ,for 245pieces! BMWs look wrong on both parameters. Also 36euro for 2 McLarensis ok.
-
Return bottle lego fund have me 60393 ,8 euro with Tesco Clubcard. I hadn't experienced the steerable wheels before and I'm impressed. Set is slightly lame as cat is ownerless, and the tree is poor. The pick-up is cramped and very minimalist but it does look ok

There's €60 off this set now at Smyths! https://www.smythstoys.com/ie/en-ie/toys/lego-and-bricks/lego-city/lego-city-60380-downtown-city-centre-reconfigurable-modular-building-playset/p/222990
-
Too rich for my blood , and where to put it! The big rigs are in my blurry sights or the heavy crane. I might get lucky and get the open top bus
-
Smyths showing 2 seasonal sets ,out on the 1st October , gate crashing the other season which also has sets out too (not sure when though). A sleigh with only 4 reindeer and a 2-in-1 tree
-
With the dreamzz poly today ,I've also gotten 2 dreamzz sets ,both panda sets . The black /white came with one extra part from the main build before an alternate build, but the red panda has heaps of extras (not a problem as they're reusable anyway), I like these better than mechs (especially the Star Wars ones) although I didn't want to by into this theme as I didn't want to dismantle to make the other builds. I was interested in the initial wave with some vehicles and bad guy builds but they never dropped in price when I had money
-
On the lego website there's images of the next wave of dreamzzz, I'm interested but don't have the space of dosh ......yet!
