Hi All,

Exhibitor applications for Dublin Brick Con 3 are now open and accessible via the link below. Please complete this form if you intend on exhibiting a MOC this year.

As usual, exhibitors will receive lunch vouchers for both Saturday and Sunday, are invited to the complimentary AFOL dinner on the Saturday night, will get a DBC t-shirt and a goodie bag or set (tbd). There will also be complimentary snacks available over the weekend in the AFOL lounge.

With regards to MOCs this year, we’d love to see some form of train layout as these are always a huge hit with crowds. We’d also love to give the garden collaborative layout a second showing after Brick Feile.

We will also be upping our AFOL lounge activities thanks to Mr. Wes Gill who will be the AFOL supervisor / dictator for the weekend. I believe he mentioned something about Karaoke on Saturday night as well, but I’ll leave that for him to discuss.

We are also hoping to run an exhibitor building competition over the next few months, more on that soon.

And finally, we intend on introducing the DBC MOC Awards where we will have different categories and prizes available, these will be detailed later on.

As many of you know, this will be our last event in the Basketball Arena as they are developing the site from next year so depending on the success of this year, we hope to move to a bigger & better space for 2025 but that’s getting ahead of ourselves. And as the arena in its current state will be no more, if someone wanted to recreate it, that would be awesome!

We hope to see a lot of our “regulars” and hopefully some new faces there.

Thanks,
Dave, Jarek & Paul

I probably won't be allowed to go , but post the date though. Hope it's a success and justifies a bigger venue

Hi Tom,

There's plenty of time to submit an application, it won't be until late summer when we'll need to know for definite.

As mentioned in my initial post, we are running a building competition in the lead up to the event. The task is to build a iconic scene from a movie or tv series.

The scene can be minifig scale, microscale etc. and must be built on a 16x16 plate, but it does not need to be contained within the 16x16 plate (it can overhang / extrude). Your build can depict a scene from any movie or tv show but please try keep it PG (no depiction of violence or nudity).

The selected scenes will then be displayed at Dublin Brick Con and will be part of a "Guess the Scene" activity for attendees. We require 15 builds for the activity so you may submit as many entries as you'd like. If your build is chosen for the activity, you will receive a €20 LEGO Store voucher (yes you'll get a voucher for each build if multiple are chosen).

The closing date for entries is August 31st and entries can be submitted via the following form on our website - https://dublinbrickcon.com/gtsapp/

We got the inspiration for the idea from this post, it may also inspire your builds 😉

Happy building!
